How do I setup multiple TinyPilot devices on the same network?

All TinyPilot devices broadcast the same default hostname of tinypilot . If multiple devices are on the same network claiming the tinypilot  hostname, it will cause DHCP conflicts and prevent access to the device.

It is recommended to add TinyPilot devices to your network one at a time. Change the hostname of each TinyPilot device before adding another TinyPilot device to the network.

Change the hostname

To change the hostname, navigate to System > Networking > Hostname in the web interface:

The TinyPilot web application with Hostname highlighted within the Security and Networking submenus.

In the Hostname dialog, change the hostname from the default tinypilot  to something else:

The Hostname dialog with the hostname changed to

Once you have changed the hostname, hit Change and Restart.

It takes 30-60 seconds for TinyPilot to change the hostname, update its TLS certificates, and reboot with the new name.

You can now safely add another TinyPilot device to the same network.
